About the event

Start in the drawing room with a black-and-white printed photo of yourself. Trace your face and sketch hashmarks over the darkest areas to map value and shading - this becomes your guide. Move to the messy paint studio to mix your mini palette: black, white, brown, plus three colors of your choice for hair, clothes, eyes, or accessories. Head to the cardboard studio where you'll "shop" from our buffet of pre-cut face shapes - eyes, noses, lips, eyebrows, hair - or draw and cut your own with the Chomp Saw. Finally, assemble everything in the craft room. Glue your features together, paint shadows and details, and add ripped cardboard pieces for texture in eyebrows or hair. Walk away with a dimensional self-portrait that captures your unique features. All supplies included. Ages 7+.

Learn the fundamentals of color mixing, complementary colors, and value at our light table. Create your custom three-color palette, then watch it transform. Move to the craft room where you'll pour your fluid art piece using professional techniques - cells, swirls, and marbling that you control (and can't replicate). The paint flows, blends, and creates something completely unique. Take home your finished canvas plus a framed watercolor exploring the same color concepts. All supplies included. A
